Weekly update week 02

January 17th, 2010

I had a terrible Thursday this week with stoplosses hit on all accounts actually. The Alpari UK account took the worst beating.

As you can see the week progressed rather slow but positive all the way up to the very last trades entered this Thursday. FAPT EURGBP and USDCAD took one SL each, and the EURGBP is really expensive with its 120 pip SL level. MegaDroid hit one SL with it’s GMT+4 chart, but that is just 40 pips so it is all right now and then. So what will I change? I will stop EURGBP I think, it has performed great for two months, but I can’t afford these stoplosses now and then. Just way to much risk for that reward. I’ll also lower my lots size for USDCAD. I trust MD enough to leave it, it makes money. Total loss was €201.11.

The bump in the graph is the stoploss of MegaDroids GMT+4 chart that was hit in all accounts actually. It was quickly recovered by MD GMT+6 though, nice job. Otherwise it was kind of a slow week. RoboMiners pairs, AUDNZD and EURCHF, is still going for more draw down, but they cashed a few trades each this week in ranging patterns. I added $500 last weekend to keep the marginal big enough to make decent MD trades. Total gain was $62.92.

Well this account hit the USDCAD stoploss with FAPT that the Alpari UK account also got, and the MD GMT+4 stoploss.  Other than that it was a good steady week all over. Forex Shocker performed well on all traded pairs (EURUSD, GPBUSD and USDCHF). The real moneymaker was FAPT with USDCHF. I actually raised its traded lotsize to 0.2 on Wednesday because of its great performance, this is very high risk for the small account though. Total gain was $40.78.

So in total the week was destroyed on Thursday and ended up in a loss of $177. That’s scalpers for you…
