Interesting MT4 strategy test tool

I recently stumbled upon a tool for backtesting and validating EA strategies in MT4 that is quite interesting actually. I have manually been doing the same a few times, but it is a lot of work. The testing strategy is called a Walk Forward Analysis.

    Hi - I’ve been looking at this tool as well. Haven’t tried it yet, but the main problem is that I don’t think it works with the Dukascopy Tick Data. Birt’s made a “Test Suite” that makes optimization work on MT4 with Dukascopy - but at $100 it’s a bit of an expensive thing to do.

    It is quite interesting that Birt now charges for his patchjob of MT4 to allow tick data backtests. I can’t see any news (other than profit for his person) in the “Tick data suite” compared to the good old scripts. I’ve been using them so long I don’t understand the need for a update like that. They still work thou, as long as you run older versions of MT4.

    I wonder how DukasCopy feels about him profiting on their free data :)
