Weekly update Week 37

September 13th, 2009

Almost a new week already so I better wrap this one up. All in all a positive one, but it had a few bumps. Total gain over all accounts was $284.

w937_alpariuk

Alpari UK Live account

The week worked out nicely at Alpari, the only bump was in the early hours on Friday when two MD Pro trades (in EURUSD) hit stop losses with just a few pips to go before the price reversed. Bad luck I guess. Total gained €99.46, which is great, even thou it was up another €30 before the losses.

w937_forex

Forex.com/UK live account

Another week where MD Pro hits stop losses to break the nice streak of RoboMiner profits. For some reason this seems to happen more often on Forex.com/UK than Alpari UK, don’t know why. Total gain for the week was $59.82. The two MD Pro losses was $73 in total, so it is quite bad for the account.

w37_jadefx

Jade FX live account

Another great week at JadeFX, now with the addition of Forex Shocker trading EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDCHF. Unfortunately it hit two stop losses in GBPUSD and lost $64 in the first night live. But overall the gain was still $83.30. This account managed to avoid the stop losses from MD Pro. Can’t quite figure out why, scalpers just seems to work better here than at Alpari and Forex.com. After four weeks live the account has grown 58.5% which is really impressive. Unfortunately I won’t be able to trade MD Pro on it going forward, so it will be regular Megadroid and Forex Shocker next week. Strongly considering getting another FAP Turbo license for it also, but then I probably should add another $500 or so.

JadeFX really seems to be the account that I’m leaning towards after seeing your results, and demo’ing on their server as well. Will you begin to trade Thunderbolt on it soon as well? The one day that I traded with it on JadeFX (last Thursday) netted me $30. I increased the lot size and will be demoing it some more this week!

Are you so sure that we won’t be able to continue using MDPro?

Yeah, I really like the performance at JadeFX, must be one of the best brokers for scalpers. I don’t know where I will run the Bling package yet. I would really like to run the scalpers at JadeFX but the other EAs I would rather use on a higher leverage account I think. But I still want to demo trade it for a few more weeks.

I won’t remove MD Pro, but I guess they will deactivate the license when they see that I’ve refunded. I’ll replace it with regular MD on EURUSD charts and run the others as long as it’s possible. ClickBank haven’t granted me the refund yet either, so perhaps I’m stuck with both FAPT Evo and MD Pro against my will… :)

Haha, well, FapTurbo changed my refund request through ClickBank to a technical thing with some generic message about how they know it’s an awesome program and how I should stick with it and speak with their customer service so I simply changed it back to a refund request and said in my reply that DukasCopy doesn’t have the liquidity to make it a profitable robot as you said it would, therefore, I want a refund. Next day, bam, in my account. I hope that everything will go alright for you!

I’ve been demo’ing Fractal and Freedom EA on JadeFX (another demo account) and haven’t been impressed. If you find a better broker for leverage to demo it on, definitely let me know and I’ll do it up.

Yeah, same here, got it yesterday evening after one switch over to Technical support ticket. I guess it’s good that they offer support it is just a bit late. Still think that they should have offered everyone 30 days extra to test Evo out, so we could have seen if liquidity really picked up and solved the most alarming issues.

I’m demoing the whole package at Alpari UK and it isn’t doing well… Nothing like the reports by ForexHope themselves at least. I’m down about 6% now. But its only been a few days, I’ll let it ride for some time.

Yea, it seems that, especially with trend-like strategies, that we really have to give them some time. I’d say a good month or two.

Regarding the scalping strategy, I’m demo’ing it both on JadeFX and IamFX, and JadeFX is doing better. It netted $7.19 profit today, putting my account at $5037.19 in two trading days. Default settings. After this week, I’ll up the risk a bit and see how things go.

Thunderbolt really seems to be doing well on the developers account still, but I haven’t gotten quite as good results in my own demo trading. EURUSD is working quite nice thou, GBPUSD seems shakier. Hopefully the performance from the last few months on the developer account continues thou, if so it is a great EURUSD scalper.

That Thunderstorm EA has been hitting a lot of losses lately thou.

    @admin
I think they actually recommended EURUSD as the primary pair to trade thus far. Honestly, I have not one loss on EURUSD so far, something like 10 winners. GBPUSD is where the losses were, though it’s had enough winners for me to justify keeping it up on demo for now. I haven’t followed the Thunderstorm EA much, figured I’d wait till it’s released so I can give it a demo.

My JadeFX Demo with Fractal and Freedom is coming around, it had a couple bad trades but seems to be nearing the break-even point in my account again, so that’s definitely a good sign!

I’m almost tempted already to put ThunderBolt on EURUSD live, it really seems good just like you say. Of the other EAs I would think Fractals4 is the next live candidate, but it will have to prove itself over a few weeks more. So will ThunderBolt thou, I’m just tempted :)

    Hey bud,

Fractals and Freedom running on one JadeFX Demo, equity currently at:

    $5163 on demo

I have an open trade that’s at $354 from Fractals. That’s over the course of about one week, the actual balance is around $4830.

On the JadeFX Demo account with Thunderbolt and MegaDroid pro, I’m up $221 in one week, but that’s also largely due to MegaDroid. I have the risk up big time, and it’s nailed some killer trades!
